And so it begins. These little rascals have it figured out that there are two of them and one of mommy during the day.
Yesterday, I was sitting at the kitchen counter checking emails while the boys were "unloading" the usual kitchen drawers...OR so I thought!!!
Drew managed to get into the drawer where I keep the bottles and formula as well as the Miralax that I put in their bottles (If you know anything about miralax, it's about as fine as gelatin). Well, Drew began to hand the contents of the drawer to Wil who was sitting on the floor, and the next thing I hear are giggles!!! They had successfully gotten the bottle of Miralax open and poured it all over the kitchen floor and then proceeded push it all over the floor and crawl through it. Let's just say this picture does the mess NO justice.
Along with this recent tag teaming comes the next story. Last week, they were both in the bathroom and got into the drawer with feminine products, only to be found giggling and throwing tampons into the bathtub.
I think I better get ready for the "ride" of my life, these little fellas are a little too smart for their britches.

My ER date with Drew
Last night we experienced our first "real" scare as parents. Drew woke up about 9:30 crying and then unable to catch his breath (during the day he had a really hoarse cough, but I thought nothing of it, since this isn't anything new for him). We immediately called the on call pediatrician, who then told us to head straight to the emergency room. Fortunately the hospital here is GREAT, and doesn't mess around with an infant struggling to breathe. Immediately they knew it was croup, but because he had it so bad we had to do oral steroids and then a breathing treatment....followed by 3 hours of monitoring. Needless to say, we are all a little tired and crabby today. He's breathing much better today but still has a nasty cough and is highly contagious. So here's to hoping and PRAYING that Wilson doesn't end up with it too.
I'm doing my best to make sure they are only drinking off their own cup...but I'm sure they think I'm nuts because normally I don't make a big deal of it.
Ooops, better scoot...Wilson just threw up all over himself and the kitchen floor. When it rains it pours.

5 New Teeth Today
So tonight, as we were finishing up with dinner I wiped Wil's teeth...and despite his gag reflex, he does very well with this.
Then....I wiped Drew's and felt a new MOLAR on the bottom and also saw another new bottom tooth. Then I saw the other bottom molar. So I'm freaking out thinking "this poor child has got to be in pain", as I move to the top...I can't believe what I'm feeling. TWO MORE MOLARS on top! For Pete sake, this poor child isn't even a year old and he now has 14 TEETH! No wonder he had a sleepless night at Grandpa and Grandma's Saturday night. I felt horrible for not noticing and giving him some motrin.
Someone please slow down the time...I'm missing my babies!!!!

Graduated
Thursday I took Wil for his routine helmet appointment and found out he is DONE. His head has improved immensely, we are so thrilled. He was such a little trooper wearing that thing. Since Christmas he's only been wearing it for bed and longer naps. He did great wearing it then, even though we were warned he may fight it more since he's not wearing it constantly.
We won't miss the stinky helmet, or the stinky head that went with it. I LOVE being able to kiss my little guy on the head anytime I want, and that after a bath he smells so sweet (with the helmet, his head was always stinky as soon as we put it back on).

11 Months
I know I say this every month, but I can hardly believe we are this close to a first birthday. I just might have shed a tear or two Thursday when my babies turned 11 months.
Wil decided to make a big deal out of the day and FINALLY started crawling...YAY, YAY, YAY!!! He is so much happier now that he seems to have found a little independence. He's still pretty rusty at it, but he is getting there and it gets him from point A to B. Drew on the other hand will probably only be crawling for a short while longer, he is furniture cruising and busy, busy, busy!
This past week we also had 2 good friends welcome new little babies into their lives as well. Visiting them was so fun, but I have 2 words to describe the visit...BABY FEVER!!! Now that my boys are getting more and more mobile, they seem to have less and less time to sit and snuggle with their momma, oh how I miss it!! They both were sick with some pretty nasty respiratory stuff this past week, so they were into snuggling for a little bit, and the best part of all, they took great naps.
We attempted to give up our morning nap, but I just don't think they are ready for that (and neither am I). They are also at the point where they are eating more table foods than baby foods, which makes it so nice when we go out, or if we are out and about and need to stop for a bite to eat.
Overall, they are still super "easy" babies (as easy as having twins can be). I am still absolutely loving being home with them and try not to take a single day of it for granted. I've also been working very hard at letting my house go during the day so that I'm focusing on them while they are awake...the earlier months got away from me when I put to much emphasis on having everything "just so" and all the laundry caught up at all times. Now if you were to stop by my house (unannounced), you'd likely see lunch dishes still on the table, toys strewn from one end of the house to the other, all doors closed and us just living it up playing in the mess.
Have a wonderful week, and hopefully I'll update before their first birthday *sniff*sniff*
